Shadow Paint

Sometimes I want to take a picture and I know why, I am just not sure how to say why. This is one. I really enjoy on a bright day when I find and interesting shadow. This one struck me. It was like mural made from light and shadow. I thought about running across the street and capturing the whole shadow but I think it would have got complicated with everything else, wires, poles, and even the tree. So I stayed close and caught half the shadow. That worked for me.  Seems I was just able to say why after all. That works for me too.

  1. Your photography in this blog has an intimate framed style. Would it be your 'style' to capture everything and distract the viewer from the subject of your interest? Even when you shoot with your 17mm, you take us close in on your subject.
This is a great pic. The tree is leafless and it is winter, but the sun looks warm.
