Cobblestone Streets

I remember as a teen going downtown in the Gastown area and seeing old cobblestone roads showing through the asphalt. I think back then in some places there were still streetcar tracks on some roads. Those are all covered with asphalt but there is still cobblestone showing in some places. If you go to the 400 Block Hamilton st the whole block is cobblestone. Rattles the teeth if you drive on it but interesting to see. This particular spot is in the East lane of the 200 block Carrall in Vancouver. A very old and interesting part of town.
