Red Wing Black Bird

Here is another photo from that day at Reifel. Whenever I go there I like to try get a photo or 2 of the Red Wing Blackbird. Hadn't had much success with them till this day. They usually seem to stay in amongst the branches. This day they were venturing out more, maybe because of the sun. I got a few pretty good photo's I think.

This would have been with the Tamron 200-400 at 400mm. 1/320th sec f5.6 iso 200.

  1. You got him at 400mm? Very well done! My maximum focal length in my arsenal is 300mm, and I find it challenging enough with it's restrict field of view.
I would like to catch one with it's wings spread and all that red plumage exposed...
