Beauty In The Jungle

Walking in the DownTown Eastside of Vancouver there are a lot interesting sights. It's one of the oldest parts of town. You can find old buildings lovingly cared for and others that have become very rundown. If you look hard enough you can find a structure or 2 that are almost as old as Vancouver.  You can get a real feel for the history of Vancouver in this area. It can be fascinating and it can be sometimes depressing. Everytime I am outside here one thing I always look at is the mountains. No matter where I am. I have found if I can't see them where I happen to be, I can walk a block or two and I can find them even if just a peek. It's somehow reassuring for me.

  1. Cool telescoped perspective on the Empress Hotel. At one time it was the tallest-narrowist building in the world. Your 'Beercan' at 160mm has created a great effect. Good overall result!
